Many of us were pleased to see the new furnishings in the lobby, especially since the rest of the building looks like a sanatorium, what with the monochromatic paint job in hospital colours!!! But these new signs that have recently appeared are not so lovely. :(

I am writing with regards to the tasteless new signs on sticks that have suddenly appeared in the lobby at 2493 Lakeshore Blvd West.
As you know, we recently had our much-dated lobby refurnished, and many residents and visitors now enjoy waiting, sitting or socializing in the new sofa and chairs downstairs, especially on those rare occasions when both elevators are working and there is no annoying and repetitive beeping sound in the lobby.
Imagine our surprise, then, when we recently got off the elevator and were visually assaulted with two very unattractive and unwelcoming signs on sticks, planted in cheap, silver-lined pots, announcing "No Loitering! No Soliciting!"
If the intended effect is to spoil one's day as one gets off the elevator in the morning on the way to work, let me assure you that it has been successful! The visual effect of the signs is quite jarring, particularly as they are aimed right at the elevators (see photos attached), and do not in any way match the decor of the newly-renovated lobby. (Not to mention that the message itself is rather unwelcoming -- why put comfy, new seating in the lobby, and then command people not to loiter?!)
As I am assuming that no residents were consulted on the installation or design of these new ornaments, we are looking forward to their removal. (Should you feel the need to post such a sign, may I suggest the stairwell, where we find many loiterers, some of whom even smoke! Or perhaps the glass pane of the lobby, as strangers come into the building.)
Please advise when this will be done, and how I or my neighbours can help with this.
Kind regards,
